Job Summary

Mercedes-Benz of Riverside is seeking a meticulous and organized Parts Inventory Control & Ordering Processor to join our team. This administrative and logistical role focuses on maintaining the data integrity of our luxury OEM parts department. You will utilize corporate supply channels to execute daily orders and manage cycle counting to ensure 100% stock accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Parts Procurement: Process and submit daily stock and emergency parts orders through proprietary Mercedes-Benz supply networks based on technician requests and automated reorder triggers.
• DMS System Management: Utilize CDK Global to track open purchase orders, log incoming freight, post invoices, and keep inventory data completely up to date.
• Inventory Auditing & Cycle Counts: Run daily cycle counts, reconcile physical stock against electronic logs, and immediately investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Tracking & Backorders: Monitor backordered factory parts daily, coordinate with factory reps on arrival times, and provide structural updates to the Service Advisors.
• Core & Warranty Management: Oversee the preparation, tagging, and logistics of factory warranty returns and core exchanges to ensure proper credit routing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Software Proficiency: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using CDK Global (DMS) in a parts department or dealership setting is highly preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in automotive parts processing, shipping/receiving logistics, or corporate inventory control.
• Technical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and daily comfort with Microsoft Excel (data sorting, basic formulas).
• Schedule Reliability: Commitment to a consistent Monday through Friday schedule to ensure daily parts ordering deadlines are met.
• Physical Ability: Ability to work comfortably in both a desk-office setting and a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
